Oral cancer screens are quick and painless. The process includes an exam of the whole mouth including the tongue, gums, cheeks, roof of the mouth, throat, and neck. Our goal during the exam is to detect any abnormalities and identify any precancerous or cancerous conditions.

During the whole exam, we keep the patient informed of any abnormalities that may be detected. If anything is detected or looks suspicious to the doctor, a biopsy of the area will be recommended.
