Prescott Dental Arts moving forward in the era of COVID-19
“The new normal” has always been our “normal” routine here at your dentist Prescott AZ in Prescott Dental Arts. As stores and restaurants reopen a lot of masks and extra sterilizing and disinfecting will be required and become the “new normal.” However, here at Prescott Dental Arts we have always valued sterilization and the protection of our patients and team members.
OUR STERILIZATION ROUTINE
The covid-19 pandemic made a lot of people very aware of how important it is to sterilize and disinfect everything and about the importance of hand washing. This is something our team does before and after each patient and will continue to do. Our desire is to keep each patient safe as well as make sure each patient feels safe as they receive treatment in our office. Some of the things we do in our office to make sure it’s disinfected and sterilized include:
- disinfect all treatment rooms before and after each patient
- sterilize all instrumentals after each procedure
- disinfect all surfaces in front and back offices including all equipment used
- disinfect the waiting room
- wash hands before and after seeing each patient
- use masks and gloves always
WE ARE HERE TO ADDRESS ALL OUR PATIENTS CONCERNS
When our patients have concerns about our sterilization process, we are here to ease those concerns. We are always willing to discuss with our patients our routine for sterilization. If a patient has concerns about their safety in our office, they are more than welcome to call before their appointment and ask any questions. Rest assured we will be following all guidelines provided by the CDC. We will also be making sure that all of our team members are well and symptom free before coming to work.
We know that at this time of change and uncertainty that many people will be afraid to go to the dentist. We want to reassure our patients that we will be doing everything we can to ensure their safety. We also ask our patients to do the same and thank them for their cooperation. We will be asking all our patients to reschedule appointments if they are experiencing any symptoms related to covid-19. We also ask them to follow social distancing guidelines and wash their hands frequently.
DON’T NEGLECT ORAL HEALTH
As people focus on their physical health during this time we also want them to know the importance of not neglecting their oral health. Neglecting oral health and not getting dental issues treated can make a small issue much worse. Leaving infection in the mouth, over time, can weaken an immune system and cause other health issues. The respiratory system can also be affected by poor oral health. Bacteria in the mouth, from infected teeth or gums, can affect the lungs and can cause respiratory infections. Making sure the mouth is free of infection is important to keeping the entire body healthy.
Our team at Prescott Dental Arts is excited and ready to welcome back our patients in Prescott, Az and nearby areas for all their dental needs. We look forward to treating their oral issues as well as continuing with patients regular cleanings and checkups. If you have any questions, concerns or are ready to make an appointment contact our office today. We look forward to seeing all our patients again.
